The first Thursday of every month is when Downtown San Pedro rolls out the welcome mat to see arts and artists. Galleries are open and restaurants have specials and there’s live music around town.
And for August the first Thursday falls on the 5th. It’s the first live ArtWalk since everything has begun reopening.
The event happens between 4th and 9th Streets and Pacific Avenue and Palos Verdes Street from 6 to 9 p.m. More than 25 galleries will be open and many artists will be on hand to discuss their work.
There wil be a guided ArtWalk tour that originates at Sirens Java & Tea, 402 W. 7th Street, at 6 p.m.
The US 99 Band will perform at 6th Street and Mesa Avenue beginning at 6 p.m.

But there’s more: the pandemic led to establishment of a virtual art walk every month. For upcoming events check the San Pedro Waterfront Arts District Facebook page (shown above).
